Luther Central News | April 27th, 2004 | Thanks to a group of students from Philosophy 322, word of Luther Central's classifieds section has been spread around campus. Now would be a great time to add your books, lofts, electronics and other various items you no longer need to the list. It's an easy process, so add whatever junk you might have lying around. Once you've done that, make sure to stop back from time to time and search for items you might have use for. If you don't have an account yet, you can create one for free in the new user section. |
| April 26th, 2004 | Luther Central has been moved to a dedicated server over in Pennsylvania. This will provide the site with a few flexibilities it didn't have before. Mainly, users outside of the Luther network will have access to the site now. This includes off-campus residence, alumni, and those studying abroad. Reliability has also been improved, seeing as the server no longer relies on my room's network connection. Finally, moving the site to a more permanent location ensures that the site can continue to function without me being on campus. |
| July 24th, 2003 | Luther Central has begun the painstaking process of upgrading it's code to HTML 4.01 Strict. For those of you not as familiar with the W3C HTML specifications, this will ensure Luther Central looks the same on all of our user's browsers. You may notice some pages don't look quite right. It's a slow process, but eventually we'll get to it. |

Ride Share is part of the Community section of Luther Central. You can also get to it at rides.luthercentral.com. |
| April 26th, 2003 | Computer gaming won't be the only action taking place at May 9's LAN party! Joining the ranks of Counter-Strike and WarCraft will be games like Super Smash Brothers for the GAMECUBE, Grand Turismo 3 with PS2, and of course, HALO on the XBOX. There have even been talks of networking the XBOX machines for some multiplayer action. It has been rumored that there will be two large-screen projectors at the party set up just for console gaming. Registration and information are at lanparty.luthercentral.com, and the price is $5. |
